About the event
We will meet up and hike in the stunning forests in West Marin, searching for porcini, chanterelles, oyster, hedgehog turkey tail and other culinary and medicinal mushrooms. This is your start to learning how to interact with the forest to learn what trees the mushrooms grow with, and other habitat you should look for. You'll learn culinary tips for preparing them, as well as safety and environmental stewardship when it comes to mushrooms.
