About the event
We will meet up and hike in the stunning forests in West Marin, searching for signs of porcini, chanterelles, oyster, hedgehog turkey tail and other culinary and medicinal mushrooms. Finding mushrooms is not guaranteed, but you will learn what trees the mushrooms grow with, and other habitat you should look for. Mike will help you identify mushrooms you find, and using her skills as a professional chef, give tips on preparation. This will be followed by mushroom centric grazing platter and tips on how to prepare various culinary mushrooms.
