About the event
For just a few weeks each summer, huckleberries ripen in secret pockets of the forest and in Huckleberry Harvest – Pick Your Own, participants are guided to one of these hidden places. Alongside a seasoned forager, they’ll learn to identify huckleberries, explore their health benefits and folklore, and practice ethical harvesting in the wild. While huckleberries take center stage, other seasonal berries may make an appearance and are also fair game for the basket. The foray ends on a delicious note: guests will be treated to prepared huckleberry creations such as creamy cheesecake, jewel-bright marmalade, or other sweet surprises that your guide has prepared just for you. This rare experience blends the joy of gathering with the pleasure of tasting, available only for a limited time each year.
