About the event
Step into the resin-scented world of pines with Flora & Fungi.
Together, we’ll learn to identify a variety of pine species and forage their overlooked edible parts like needles, bark, pollen, and nuts. Along the way, we’ll uncover their culinary, medicinal, and historical uses, from ancient remedies to syrups you won’t find on any store shelf.
Our journey ends with a pine-themed tasting board, featuring seasonal, foraged creations like Mugolio (pine cone syrup), and focaccia made from pine needles yeast, forest-infused teas, and more.
Whether you're a curious cook or a devoted wanderer of the woods, this class invites you to see pine trees not just as scenery but as nourishment, medicine, and wonder.
