Perfumes Inspired by Nature with Secret Scent Lab

Building a scent is not so different from building a culinary creation. You start with deeply personal inspiration - a place you love - perhaps the ocean edge, lined with lupine, a memory of jasmine and pipe smoke from your grandparents home; or a redwood forest. Or just a smell that beckons or beguiles you. For this event you'll join Jennifer Berry, who not only has a lovely, secret perfume lab filled with a library of scents, but also has intimate knowledge of local flora and fauna. She'll lead participants on a scent walk around Sausalito where you'll experience nature through this sense that's often underutilized. Then you'll return to her perfumery lab and learn how to layer aromatic oils, essential compounds and fixatives to create your own signature scent to take home with you.
