About the Event

We'll meet during low tide at Muir Beach and talk about the layers of the intertidal zone - where to find different species of seaweed, from nori draped over boulders, various types of bladderwrack, bright green sea lettuce, and further out, kombu. Wear your water tight boots!

We'll clean seaweed and talk about best ways to dry, store, and use it.

Then we'll have a campfire brunch on the beach featuring pasture raised eggs poached in seaweed dashi with spring vegetables
