About the event
We'll meet during low tide at Muir Beach and talk about the layers of the intertidal zone - where to find different species of seaweed, from nori draped over boulders, various types of bladderwrack, bright green sea lettuce, and further out, kombu. Wear your water-tight boots!
We'll discuss ethical foraging and the best ways to clean, dry, store, and use the seaweed you find.
Then we'll have a seaweed-centric light brunch on the beach.
