About the event

Spring is a season of abundance, when wild foods burst forth across the landscape. Join Flora & Fungi Adventures and the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art for a guided walk exploring the edible plants that thrive across the di Rosa Preserve. From the crisp freshness of miner’s lettuce and chickweed to the culinary potential of edible flowers like redbud and magnolia petals—and the healing properties of milk thistle and dock—this springtime landscape offers a remarkable array of flavors and natural medicines.

 

The walk includes a docent-led exploration of di Rosa’s outdoor sculpture collection, weaving art into our experience of the land. Along the way, you’ll learn ethical foraging practices, plant identification techniques, and traditional uses of wild ingredients.

 

The experience concludes with a floral soda tasting and a hands-on bitters and tincture-making workshop. Guests will craft their own small bottle of a custom “witchy blend” of wild…
