Join us on a wild food hike & hands-on cooking workshop. Learn about wild edibles and then roll up your sleeves and make these delicacies into dumplings, under the tutelage of Henry Hsu. An al fresco, dumpling-centric lunch will follow.

About the event
Do you know your stinging nettle from your miner’s lettuce? How about how to preserve wild mushrooms long after the season has ended? Or take an invasive vegetable or sea creature harming in the ecosystem and make a delightful soup dumpling? If you want to learn, this culinary adventure is for you.
Maria will guide you on a hike where you’ll learn about local wild edibles and Henry Hsu will then teach you how to make a variety of dumplings like xio long bao or potstickers in this hands-on workshop. From making your own dough for dumplings, the art of rolling it out and then filling and cooking them. Everyone will be making dumplings and then enjoying them for lunch along with a crunchy salad and dessert.
