About the event
Springtime turns San Francisco into a foraging haven – with trails lined with Miners lettuce and chickweed, fragrant elderflower blooming, hillsides of wild radish and feral mustard and streams rich with watercress and lovage. Along with the delicious, there’s the medicinal plants like milk thistle and artemisia. Come learn about these with guide Ambre Arneodau. Ambre is originally from Southern France and learned the potential of wild foods from her grandfather, a regionally renown chef. She’s excited to share her knowledge and passion about wild plants and how to see a common cityscape through the eyes of a forager. The walk will be at a leisurely pace and last about 1.5 hours with time for questions and tastings. There will be an uphill section of the walk.
